En la siguiente entrada vamos a mostraros algunas conjunciones básicas y bastante utilizadas en el idioma inglés.

Las siguientes conjunciones presentan diferentes funciones:

Conjunctions	Significado	Funciones
Although, though	Aunque/ a pesar de…	Cuenta algo sorprendente.
And	Y	Añade información.
Because	Porque	Responde a “Por qué”.
Before and after	Antes y después	Responde la pregunta sobre qué ocurre primero.
But	Pero	Hace un contraste.
If	Si…	Realiza una condición.
So	Así que/ entonces…	Te dice un resultado.
When	Cuando…	Responde a “cuándo”.

Algunos ejemplos:  

Although, though: We went home although/though we did not really want to.

And: We went home and had dinner.

Because: We went home because it was late.

Before and after: We went home after the film had finished.  

But: They haven’t got much money but they are happy.

If: I will go out if I finish my housework.

So: We went home early, so we missed the end of the party.

When: You brush your teeth when you only eat a lot.
